Seeking mental health support is a meaningful step, and we recognize the courage it takes to begin that journey. At iRise Mental Health and Wellness Services, we provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where children, adolescents, and young adults can explore their experiences, develop coping skills, and work toward healing and growth.

The name iRise reflects our belief that every person has the strength and capacity to heal, grow, and rise through life’s challenges. Inspired by resilience and empowerment, we honor each individual's unique story and recognize the strengths they bring to their healing journey.

Through a healing-centered, trauma-informed, and holistic approach, we support individuals in building self-awareness, resilience, and emotional wellness while providing compassionate care tailored to their unique needs and goals.

With a career spanning over 28 years in the mental health field, I have dedicated much of my professional journey to supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families. My early years as a school social worker provided me with the opportunity to walk alongside individuals during important developmental stages, and I have continued this work through my roles as a mental health support specialist and therapist.

Throughout my career, I have found deep fulfillment in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges while creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive space where healing and growth can take place.

My approach emphasizes the connection between mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I integrate evidence-based therapeutic practices with mindfulness and holistic wellness approaches, including meditation, breath work, and other grounding techniques, when aligned with each individual’s values and goals.

I believe every person has the capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful change. It is my privilege to walk alongside each individual on their unique journey toward greater self-awareness, healing, and overall wellness.

 

My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy. I take a person-centered approach that honors each individual’s experiences, strengths, and goals while creating a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.

I believe culture, identity, and lived experiences are essential parts of understanding mental health. My approach is culturally responsive and informed by my experiences living in multiple countries and recognizing the important role culture plays in each person’s healing journey. In addition to English, I am also proficient in Amharic.
